Montana’s Credit Unions will implement CUCollaborate’s JoinCU platform on its consumer awareness website, so consumers can find Montana credit unions they are eligible to join more easily.

April 30, 2018 - CUCollaborate, a Washington, D.C.-based, independent, membership association for credit unions and their business partners, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Montana’s Credit Unions, the first state credit union association to implement JoinCU, CUCollaborate’s consumer eligibility validation solution.

JoinCU takes the concept of “Find a Credit Union” beyond zip code lookups and delivers a “Join a Credit Union” solution that solves the membership eligibility problem for consumers. The solution removes the confusion and obstacles associated with credit union membership eligibility by providing consumers with a list that only contains credit unions they are eligible to join. JoinCU will serve as the credit union search engine on Montana’s Credit Union’s consumer awareness website.

“Our purpose is to help attract new members to credit unions, but we had problems with mass marketing because we couldn’t easily tell consumers which credit unions they were eligible to join,” said Tracie Kenyon, CEO of Montana’s Credit Unions. “JoinCU solves this problem and provides the necessary infrastructure to more effectively capitalize on marketing to consumers about the benefits of joining a credit union.”

“We are excited to implement JoinCU on Montana’s Credit Unions website, which garners thousands of visitors each month. JoinCU will increase the number of consumers converting to new members of Montana credit unions,” CUCollaborate Founder Samuel Brownell said. “CUCollaborate’s mission is to facilitate credit union growth while reducing expenses and risk. Bringing in more consumers through automated mechanisms to find, join, and borrow from credit unions aligns with that mission. We hope other organizations will follow Montana’s lead to boost consumer awareness nationwide and bolster credit union prosperity.”

CUCollaborate offers JoinCU to any organization that wants to help grow credit unions by making it easier for consumers to join through a frictionless, automated process. Brownell concluded, “We can all benefit through collaboration and by removing the confusion, friction, and obstacles created by credit union field of membership requirements.”
