Washington, D.C., [October 13, 2026] — the Financial Institutions Group at A.G.P./Alliance Global Partners ("AGP’s FIG team") and CUCollaborate today announced a new partnership designed to help CDFI-certified and Low-Income Designated credit unions generate additional liquidity by sourcing and selling CDFI loans and loan pools. Credit unions get one path from eligibility to sale: CUCollaborate identifies loans that meet applicable CDFI eligibility criteria, and AGP’s FIG team markets those loans and loan pools to its network of institutional investors.
Many CDFI-certified credit unions originate loans that qualify for sale into the growing market for community development assets but lack the internal capacity to verify eligibility at scale or connect with buyers. CUCollaborate's data and analytics team will screen loan files against CDFI eligibility criteria, and AGP’s FIG team will bring those eligible loans and loan pools to market, giving credit unions a new channel to generate liquidity, manage balance sheet capacity, and reinvest in their communities.
“CDFI credit unions may have significant value embedded in loan portfolios they already own. This partnership combines CUCollaborate’s eligibility analytics with the institutional distribution capabilities of AGP’s FIG team to help credit unions identify and access that value,” said [Name], [Title] of Alliance Global Partners.
“Credit unions have been sitting on CDFI-eligible loans without a practical way to prove eligibility or find a buyer,” said Sam Brownell, Founder and CEO of CUCollaborate. “We can help a credit union identify which loans meet applicable eligibility criteria. AGP’s FIG team can provide market insight and connect them with potential institutional buyers. Together that can help turn a certification into capital those credit unions can put back into their communities.”
Credit unions interested in evaluating their CDFI-eligible loan portfolios and potential sale opportunities through this partnership are encouraged to contact AGP’s FIG team or CUCollaborate.
